It's Peeta's Birthday

Young adult star Josh Hutcherson turns 21 today! TWENTY-ONE!!!!! Hahahahahahahahaha just makes me laugh a little bit hahahahaha not because I'm 70 years older and 700 pounds heavier but just monkey barbell supermarket hahahah.

Young Josh recently spoke with some magazine and said it would solve much of his character Peeta's problems (as well as those of Katniss and Gale) if they could all just have a threesome, or a triad or something. Read it yourself HERE.  A threesome involving Peeta and Gale would certainly solve a few of my problems. I guess that picture should really have the young, beautiful, and OSCAR WINNING Katniss in there mixing it up as well. Okay if you must . . .

"The Muppet Show" Season 4, Episode 17. My Take

Yes, this 1980 "Muppet Show" (on youtube HERE, but NOT on DVD!) featured the Stars of "Star Wars"! Don't hold your breath for Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, or Yoda, but we do get Mark Hamill, C3PO, and R2D2. They've busted into the Muppets' studio in search of Chewbacca of all things!

The invasion from a galaxy far, far away is okay with Kermit. This scotsman (who gargles Gershwin) was set to host, but Kermit feels the "Star" stars might be better for ratings. But that's not all . . .

"Muppet Babies" Season 6, Episode 7. My Take

This "Muppet Babies" episode starts with Gonzo (dressed as Liberace, above) imagining his own version of a 'pimp my ride' situation with Rowlf's dump truck.

The beginning of the show featured lots of fantasies, and just as I started thinking, "Maybe I forgot this was the kind of show that didn't have a plot," the plot kicked in. It seems all the other Muppet Babies (the ones that aren't Gonzo) are P.O.'d at Gonzo for his disregard for safety- and they let him know it in no uncertain terms! Above many MB's are angry, but baby Fozzie is perplexed and baby Kermit is just more disappointed than anything else.

Immediately following that big mob scene, Gonzo decides to really show them how awesome he can be by doing a dangerous stunt. His stuffed Camilla doll is an unwitting accomplice. But that's not all . . .

Life's a Happy Song

I just want to put it "out there," that we will have definitive proof of God's existence very soon! How will this come? In the form of an omen on this year's Oscar show, that's how.

Simply put: If "Life's a Happy Song" from The Muppets does not win the Academy Award for Best Original Song, there is NO GOD. If Kermit wins the Oscar: God exists.

Happy New Year!! We're alive, as is evidenced by our BRAND NEW shows each and every Friday! Others shows take weeks off- some shows take for-fucking-ever off, but not us!!! We're brand blobbin' new each and every Friday.

In fact, we've got an all new salute coming your way tomorrow!!!

You Take the Good, You Take the Bad . . .

Come darkness, come light . . . with the horrors of the world in full swing- grandmothers are being pepper sprayed for "Occupying" various places, the geniuses at NBC are trying to kill "Community," the sensitive artists in charge at ABC have launched an attack on "Cougar Town" and as scores of classy Americans/Nascar fans boo the first lady- we must also enjoy something good, actually Great we've been given:

A new Muppet movie!!! Seriously, America needs this you guys. If you're looking for a reason to believe in the future of mankind- look no further! And if you're gearing up for Wednesday, you may want to read THIS piece written by Whoopi Goldberg- a frequent Muppet guest star!

New Muppet Movie Trailer!

Exclamation Point

Go HERE to watch the trailer! We'll need the Muppets to dry our tears from watching "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2"! Watch that trailer HERE! (or an even better HP7.2 trailer HERE. I'm judging it "better" because I cried more during that second one.)

Elaborate Cakes!

Do you know how much I love elaborate cakes? Imagine a really huge elaborate cake in the shape of the Earth but the size of the sun. That much!!

So imagine my delight when I found THIS website! It's dedicated to food that's dedicated to people's various pop culture obsessions. It's fun to "surf" around and imagine if I had a million dollars, what kind of cake would I get? Probably a cake in the shape of Mrs. Potterbutter Butterchurn.

Greatest Christmas Gift #9

Those Cratchits sure were poor!! But, lo- they held each other dear and enjoyed their lives better than anyone with two copper pieces to rub together. The 9th Greatest Christmas gift is that of FEAST. The Cratchit kids (probably even Tiny Tim) may have only gotten an orange and a hand-me-down hanky in their stockings, but where Bob and his wife Emily clearly didn't skimp was on dinner!! Watch how the kids behave as though Justin Bieber was there for a visit when Mom pulls out the goose and pudding!

And when Old Scrooge comes around at the end of the story- he brings not toys or scarves or anything so "worldly"- he brings a bigger feast! Proving that the most valuable gift we can give is that of ourselves and our time. Oh! and Food! We mustn't forget food! Eat up!

Also- "The Muppet Christmas Carol" is the best version ever made, or ever will be made. Just in case anyone out there needs to settle a bet. The love we found, we carry with us so we're never quite alone!

Pie and Parades and Pie

As Thanksgiving nears, I find myself thinking more and more about pie. And bread. And cheese covered things. There is another Thanksgiving tradition though- the Macy's parade.

Click HERE to read about a few new attractions the 2010 show will boast- like a Kung Fu Panda balloon and a float dedicated to that stupid thing where you can upload your picture and this website will make you dance around in an elf costume (really).

Oh well, I am old and so am more comforted by the fact that the Kermit balloon will be returning. Click HERE to read a thorough play-by-play of a classic Macy's parade from my youth. (I'm not sure if it was your youth or not).

PIE!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

Here's the Muppets singing "Bohemian Rhapsody" which has nothing to do with today except being thankful for their continued existence!

If You're in the New York Area . . .

Pretend you are me (Cliff) and mosey on down to the Sunshine cinemas on Houston at midnight tonight or tomorrow and buy yourself a ticket to "The Great Muppet Caper." I'll be the one crying in the corner down here in dixieland. But I swear to you, dear reader, that I am not the English Patient and the Sunshine is not Kristin Scott Thomas left alone in the cave. I am coming back for you!! Do you get me?

Whether you do or not, you'll want to return in a few weeks when the play "Casablanca."
