I'm talkin' Oprah! Today she celebrates 57 years of *existing* (in this realm anyway).
(In the photo above: Oprah imbues a puppy with the very meaning of puppy life, she inspires him to be his best puppy self, while doing so she is also simultaneously having her own "Aha Moment" about what it means to be able to cosmically communicate to animals and folks who are at home weekday afternoons. )

As yet untitled comedy from "Sex and the City" director Michael Patrick King! It's got (you may wanna sit down; oh I am sittin' down) Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock, and Oprah!!!!!!!!!
Look under your chair because you've just won a new favorite movie!!! I can't wait! I just hope these ladies don't drop out of the movie and it ends up starring Laura Linney, Christina Applegate, and Queen Latifah. (That movie would be okay, but not the epic this 'Death Becomes Her' meets 'While You Were Sleeping' meets 'The Color Purple' film will surely be!)
This is a travel show on youtube hosted by a guy who has cerebral palsy (he calls it the 'sexiest of the palsies'). He's in some competition to be in a competition (VOTE HERE?) on the Oprah Network (the one with Rosie's new talk show!) and all I can say is if he wins and gets his own show on OWN, and Rosie's on there- I gots to get me some Oprah channel!! (Not to be confused with the Opera channel, which I don't really need).
Rosie is coming back to daytime television!! Hooray- She'll once again have her own talk show (unfortunately with fewer Koosh Balls, I'm guessing) on Oprah's own cable channel (called OWN- the Oprah Winfrey Network). Sounds good, I just need that channel now!
This video is great for exactly 2 reasons: Charlotte's reaction to being asked about the "Sex and the City 2" poster (where the gilrs have mostly been photo-shopped beyond recognition) and the last 2 or 3 seconds where Oprah exposes what she's really going to be doing while enjoying the Met's Fashion Gahhhla.

Sorry to load you down with so many youtube videos, but I couldn't resist this one. I saw this video years ago in a bar and I was transfixed. It is a remix of Wynonna singing a bad-ass version of "I Wanna Know What Love Is" but that's not why it's amazing.
The reason for that is that the entire video is made of clips from "Oprah." The best sequences are near the end: Wynonna, Naomi, Ashley, and Oprah all crying because of Wynonna's resilience and decision to get her life (and her weight) back on track- and the great shots of Wynonna closing the door to the fridge, as though she just realized that all of life's answers don't actually lie therein. If you learn how Wy, let us all know! Brilliant!
