Goodbye Julia Sugarbaker

The forceful actress who sold draperies to all of Atlanta has passed on into "Cloud to Cloud" territory. She was 70 years old, and there's no word yet as to cause of death.

Dixie Carter's "Designing Women" character Julia was known as "the Terminator" and was the powerfully feminist Dorothy/Maude of the group. She will be missed!!!

Old News: Transformers Edition

I know we usually warn you ahead of time, but we're running late trying to keep up with all the celebrities in line to host "Cliff and Kendall: Cloud to Cloud." Mr. Rogers and George Carlin will be on vacation next week, filling in on their behalf is Ed McMahon and the last minute addition of Karl Malden. Those of you in heaven, be sure to tune in!!

Anyway: Even though, "Transformers 2: Attack of the Toasters" has made 417 billion dollars in its first five minutes of release: please be aware it is a lousy sequel! And this is coming from me, Cliff, who actually enjoyed the first one. #2 is a stinker though, SADLY!

I still think little La Beouf had one of the cutest mugshots though.

RIP Dom

Our brother in elastic waist pants has passed on . . .

We'll miss him, but like when Kendall and I die, we know he is in Heaven at the head of the buffet line. We'll meet you there soon, Dom!

So it goes.

This weekend we said goodbye to Hollywood legend Paul Newman. He was a great talent, and a remarkable philanthropist. And, well . . . one of the best lookin' men ever- you don't have to be Mary or Rhoda to notice. Maybe he'll be a guest on "Cloud to Cloud."

Oh Bury Me Not . . . in a Pringles Tube

89 year old Dr Fredric J. Baur, creator of the Pringles tube passed away and, according to his wishes, was put into his most famous creation- for all eternity!

After being cremated his earthly remains were shoved, er, placed lovingly into the tube (and an urn for the "overflow"). He was a retired chemist and food storage technician for Procter and Gamble, and will always be remembered for thinking of the Pringles tube way back in 1970.

He was also credited with creating a freeze-dried ice cream that never caught on, but that he was still proud of anyway. Let this be a lesson- enjoy your own junk people! Don't nobody else's opinions matter!

Buried in a Pringles tube- at least he didn't invent the colostomy bag! What do you want to be buried in?? Here are a few options:
