Inspired by the Miranda July "We Think Alone" e-mail art project, in which she shares personal e-mails on a variety of topics, from a variety of notable people, I am sharing this personal e-mail from one bro-host to another.

The Ebb and Flow of the Universe

One can witness the almighty tao giving and taking with equal measure in the smallest of things: a budding buttercup, a colt coming into the world as a rooster dies, and in my depressing inbox.

I'm now rebooting the cliche "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away" (or whatever it is) and changing it to "Sometimes Emmy-winning comedienne Kathy Griffin mentions you on twitter, and sometimes you approach the impossibly high credit line on your Visa, and sometimes they both happen at once." No wait, that's terrible. I'll just keep saying "Sometimes life gives you lemons and sometimes you're the windshield." (or whatever it is)
